    Testimonials

    • “New Zealand book lovers will know how much we depend on the judgment, expertise and professional commitment of a publisher like David Ling. I am extremely grateful to him, not only for taking the gamble with an unknown, but for his advice, enthusiastic care and attention in doing such a fine job.”
John Steele, author of No Ordinary Man
    • “Since the first publication appeared under the David Ling imprint, a steady stream of quality titles has followed... a publishing list which is making a significant contribution to New Zealand writing, both fiction and non-fiction.”
      ...North & South magazine
    • “David Ling has published two books of which I was co-author. He has also handled books for several close friends. He is a professional in every sense, and we have all found him a pleasure to deal with.”
      - Michael Bassett, co-author with Paul Goldsmith, The Myers, and Puketutu and its People
    • “My publisher David Ling has been involved from the outset. His attention to detail and willingness to adapt to the book’s changing shape has been critical. A more patient publisher and ally a writer could not wish.”
      - James McNeish, The Mask of Sanity
    • “David Ling has an empathy with authors and an insight to what readers want, unusual in contemporary publishing. The result is always a quality book.”
      - Harold Kidd, co-author with Robin Elliott, Winkelmann's Waitemata, The Logans, and Vintage New Zealand Launches
