Janene Cooper had a background in education and worked as an Education Consultant based in Auckland. Her writing was influenced by the experiences she shared with the many children who touched her life.
Evie Kemp is a graduate of AUT University in Auckland where she studied Graphic Design and Illustration. Evie primarily illustrates for textiles using pen
and ink. As a departure from her usual medium the artwork for A Dog Like That!
was created using collage. This is her first children's book.
